The Vision and Establishment Behind KHIT
"The founding principles of KHIT are deeply rooted in the life, values, and enduring vision of Sri Kallam Haranadha Reddy, whose journey reflects perseverance, enterprise, and a strong belief in the transformative value of education.
Born into a poor farmer’s family, Sri Kallam Haranadha Reddy built his life through determination and hard work. He began his career as a sales clerk in 1956, earning a monthly salary of ₹22. From these modest beginnings, he steadily progressed as an entrepreneur, establishing successful ventures across agriculture, textiles, real estate, and power. His journey was shaped not only by professional ambition, but also by integrity, resilience, and the willingness to continuously learn and grow.
Education remained an important part of his life even as his professional responsibilities expanded. At the age of 42, he pursued and completed his BA, MA, and BL degrees, demonstrating his conviction that learning is not limited by age or circumstance. This personal experience strengthened his belief in education as a means to create opportunity, build confidence, and shape a better future.
Driven by this vision, he founded the Kallam Haranadhareddy Institute of Technology (KHIT) in 2010 under the aegis of the Kallam Academy of Educational Society (KAES). His aim was to create an institution where students could gain strong technical knowledge while also developing the values, discipline, and perspective required to succeed beyond the classroom.
Today, his vision continues to guide KHIT’s commitment to quality engineering education, innovation, continuous learning, and responsible leadership, carrying forward a legacy built on the belief that education can transform both individuals and society."
