Dr. L. Shanmukha Rao is a distinguished academic leader currently serving as Dean Academics & Controller of Examinations at Kallam Haranadhareddy Institute of Technology (KHIT). With over 23 years of dedicated experience in higher education, he is recognized for his exceptional expertise in academic administration, curriculum design, accreditation processes (NAAC, NBA, and ISO), and faculty development.

Academic and Administrative Leadership

Dr. Rao has worked as Head of the Department (HOD) for EEE in various engineering colleges for more than a decade, effectively steering administrative strategies aligned with AICTE norms and championing quality initiatives as the Management Representative for ISO Certification. He is actively involved in planning and executing academic development programs, fostering a vibrant learning culture that emphasizes student success and professional growth.

Research and Professional Contributions

An accomplished researcher, Dr. Rao has authored over 40 publications in national and international journals and conferences, with numerous works indexed in SCOPUS. He serves as a reviewer and session chair for reputed IEEE conferences and holds several editorial and committee positions. His research covers advanced topics in power systems, renewable energy integration, intelligent control, and power quality improvement.

Commitment to Quality and Innovation

He spearheads accreditation and documentation work at KHIT, guiding Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), Short-Term Training Programs (STTPs), and workshops to support continuous improvement and innovation. Dr. Rao is known for introducing new teaching methodologies, revising syllabi to meet industry needs, and mentoring faculty and students to achieve the highest standards of academic excellence.

About Dean Academics:

   ( NAME ), Professor, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Kallam Haranadhareddy Institute of Technology, Mylavaram, Andhra Pradesh,India. He received his B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering from Acharya Nagarjuna University in 1998. He completed M.Tech. in Software Engineering from JNT University, Hyderabad in 2001. He received Ph.D degree from JNTUK Kakinada in 2018. He is having nearly 21 years of teaching and industrial experience. He is a life member of ISTE and CSI. He published 25 papers in various conferences and journals. His current research area is IoT, Block Chain, Al and Data Science

  11. Provide academic counselling or advising to students and faculty.
