Dr. Prakash Bethapudi

Professor & Head, Department of AI & ML

Department of CSE–Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning is headed by Dr. Prakash Bethapudi. He holds a Ph.D from Acharya Nagarjuna University and M.Tech from Andhra University. He has 20+ years of experience in teaching, research, and administration.

He previously worked as Professor at Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, and as Assistant & Associate Professor at GITAM Deemed to be University, Visakhapatnam. He also served as Associate Professor, Professor & HoD (CSE, IT & DS) and Principal for Vignan’s Group of Institutions, Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam.

His areas of interest include Image Processing, Artificial Intelligence, Data Mining, IoT, etc. He serves as Editorial Board Member and Reviewer for several National and International Journals.

• Holds several Indian and Australian Patents
• Received many National and International Awards
• Member of IEEE, CSI, ACM, ISTE, IAENG, and other professional bodies

• Completed 20+ certifications from COURSERA, Microsoft-EDX, NPTEL, and other MOOC Platforms
• Guided 50+ B.Tech and M.Tech Projects

Academic & Administrative Roles

He acted as BOS Member and delivered guest lectures for various institutions. He headed CSE and IT Departments for NBA and successfully achieved Accreditation twice under his leadership.

He actively contributed to institutional processes including NAAC, AICTE, NIRF, and Autonomous activities at multiple organizations.

He served as Observer for NEET, JEE, NET and other national-level examinations organized by NTA in collaboration with MHRD, Govt. of India.

He was involved in confidential works related to APPGCET-2024 and APPGECET-2025 in collaboration with TCS, APSCHE, and Govt. of AP.
