About the Department
The department has established strong ties with industries to enhance students’ practical knowledge, particularly in cutting-edge areas such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Science. The department’s focus includes key fields like AI-driven Networking, Big Data Analytics, IoT, Cloud Computing, Mobile Technology, Client-Server Architecture, and Cryptography & Network Security, all integrated with data science techniques.
Students are actively involved in faculty-led research, with a particular emphasis on AI and Data Science applications. Several faculty members have also initiated in-house AI and Data Science projects, funded by the college, as part of final-year student project work. Over the past few years, the faculty has published numerous papers in various journals and conferences, particularly in the areas of AI and Data Science. Students are encouraged to participate in data science and AI-related extra-curricular activities, competitions, and hackathons, both within the state and beyond, promoting innovation and learning in these rapidly evolving fields.
